Mark Mendenhall, General Manager

Mark’s family lived in north Seattle and he graduated from Nathan Hale High School

in 1972. After high school, Mark attended Washington State University for three years,

then transferred to and graduated from the University of Washington in 1977. Upon

graduation, Mark joined Gold Bond Building Products as a sales representative and

worked from King County north into British Columbia. At the time, Gold Bond Building

products operated as a division of the National Gypsum Company and sold a broad range

of building products including gypsum board, steel framing, fasteners, joint compound,

acoustical ceilings, fiberglass insulation, fiber cement board, radiant heat board and

demountable partitions. In 1981 Domtar Gypsum America built a gypsum board plant

in Tacoma and Mark joined Domtar Gypsum as a sales and architectural representative

in the Pacific Northwest. During his 13 years as gypsum representative in Washington,

Mark helped identify the need for a gypsum specialty dealer in Whatcom County. After

many months of discussion, Mark and CB Wholesale owner Brent Walker decided to

open a branch in Bellingham to complement the CB Wholesale branch in Burlington.

Whatcom County’s contractors finally had a professional, specialty shop to serve the

roofing, drywall and steel stud markets and customers. As part of CB Wholesale for over

20 years, Mark has enjoyed the opportunity to manage both branches and now spends the

bulk of his time in the administrative office managing credit and providing support to the

branches.

Ed Lynch is a lifelong resident of Washington having grown up in Burlington just blocks from

the Burlington store he now manages. Ed and his wife of 25 years, Kristi, still make Burlington

their home with their daughter Laura. Their son John lives in Ellensburg and attends Central

Washington University. Prior to joining CB Wholesale the bulk of Ed’s work experience included

a 10 year stint in the banking industry working in all facets of credit and management. Ed has

spent the past 15 years at CB Wholesale developing and growing a passion and understanding

of the roofing and drywall industry. At the same time he has helped CBW grow and evolve into

strong company that is well respected by customers and vendors alike. In 2011 Ed joined the

ownership group at CBW. Away from work he can usually be found spending quality time with

his family or enjoying the Pacific Northwest in all seasons fishing, camping or hunting.
